did a bunch om my truck today, one of which was replacing the thermostat, it and the other work I did was more preventative, never really had a heating issue

last done by the dealer 5 or 6 years ago with previous owner

jiggle valve was straight up

just thought I would throw that out there, as the jiggle valve is one of those "fun" debate topics

almost as much fun as ....which brand of oil.

Mine's the same way I think.

So if you never had a overheat issue. Why worry ? I don't even know how I installed mine and never had a issue.

So that he hopefully never will have to worry about an overheat issue.

Mine was working fine after 20 years and 400k miles. And now that I've replaced it — it should work fine for another 20 years and 400k miles. I penciled in a t-stat change @ 800k miles in my "to do" book for 2036... :fro:
