12v anytime issue

Ive done the jumper from the hot curcuit thats open to my p/outlet fuse but my radio comes on when the jumper is installed. Anyone experienced this?

If you want 12v anytime why not just run a fused link straight from the battery? Creating your own subsystem is way safer than messing with such a fragile "e"cosystem that the 4Runner has. IMO

Search around and see what happens when a rodent bites into a harness, let alone you picking a fuse to add-a-fuse to that fries one of some odd 30 f'n ECU's in the truck

Cut the wire at the power outlet in half, cap off vehicle side of the cut wire.

so i think my troubles are related to the fuse depth.

using the same kind of short bladed fuse adapter yields the results im looking for.

oddly enough, a long bladed fuse adapter in the same spots on the fuse block turns the radio on as well.

all is well and i learned a little something.
