'13 Runner - Sounds like a compressor running when turned off?

Have a '13 SR5, and two times now in the past 2 weeks I've heard what sounds like a compressor running when the vehicle is turned off and parked in the garage. This is several hours after I parked it. Its coming from the rear of the truck, and definitely from underneath. Last night I let this go on for 15 minutes to see if it would stop, and it didn't. As soon as you put the key in and turn it forward (not even started), it goes out. Any ideas? ABS maybe or fuel pump? Thanks.

So obviously I'm missing something then as I'm not seeing anything relevant in the owners manual for this. What's the cause for this? Thanks.

Never mind, found the response you guys were referencing regarding the fuel vapor lock, etc. Only question I have is mine isnt' happening 5-6 hours after, its the next day and it ran for over 15 minutes. I called 3 dealers and all 3 of them had zero clue, and none of them even knew to mention the fuel vapor issue. Thanks for the feedback, makes me stop worrying about it.

For the many many many times this issue is posted here I have never personally heard it....until Sunday. I walked into the garage to get something and was like WTF is running, then just laughed. I thought it was just a short duration thing but it went on for a decent amount of time.

Perfectly normal. Explained in your Owner's Manual.

Yep, it got me too after I drove it home and parked it in the garage. went out and heard something running. My truck did this once and the fuel pump was stuck on and ran the battery out. It freaked me out a little and then I read about it in the manual and was relieved that it was normal.
