13 SR5 3" lift w/ stock wheels and spacers

Looking for advice. I have a 13 SR5, not a daily driver as I have a company vehicle, and I want to lift it for my occasional rocky mountain excursions. I really like the look of the stock wheels and a modest 3"/2.5" lift. looking for advice on using the stock wheels. Was told I would need a spacer but what size? 1.5", 2" or more? Also what tires are you running 285ish that bead up easily on the stockers? I am planning on doing an alignment after all is done to straighten it all out.

Thanks in advance for the info.

Only doing this, b/c you will get it from everyone else.

This is honestly the most common asked question on this forum, and there are about a million threads which address pretty much all of your questions.

Read the Tire Fitment Thread, The Lifted Pix thread, check out the 5th Gen build threads... All of these resources (among countless others) will allow you to look at what everyone else has done or might advise, and you can make your own decisions. Everyone is going to have a different preference or budget, and you are the best to determine what yours are. Once you do that, and should you have a specific question, then I imagine everyone would be more than willing to advise.

Here is a perfect example of they hey we're not going to answer any new questions anymore mentality that seems to rule here. You could have easily answered his question in less words than you just used to admonish him.

We're not stupid. We know how to search. How about you try searching "lift advice" and see what happens. There should be a dedicated "what lift or lift advice" thread to corral all these questions you don't want to be bothered with answering anymore.

You are absolutely right that F1scher could have just answered the OP, but what would the OP do the next time around? My guess is that OP would just ask again without searching. I don't understand why people complain about others not taking the time to help them when they can be bothered to take a few min to search.

In the end F1scher did give where to find the info.

Haha we are stirring up some old threads to rehash some pointless arguments. There are literally dozens of threads about people asking for lift or tire advice. In the last week there are seemingly so many I don't even bother reading half of them.

The bottom line here is this. If we spoon feed information to people who do not take 5 minutes to try to answer it themselves, more and more of these threads will pop up. The only way people will understand or learn is to do a little research themselves. It doesnt mean its wrong to ask questions, but ask a question once you have taken the time to try and answer it yourself. I literally pointed him to the best options he could have for answering such a generic question. If I didnt do it, someone else would have said the same thing, and may have been less pleasant about it.
