16" wheel 4th gen

So I’ve finally got to the point where I’ve got my 16x8 with a -25 offset JDM wheels to fit.

What ended up happening is I went down to the WG Calliper (16”) from the WH Calliper (17”). I found out the actual piston size is exactly the same in the WG vs the WH. The only difference and reason for the WH being a bigger calliper is for increased heat displacement throughout the calliper to give it better performance in cooling. To combat this what I ended up doing is running with some stainless steel brake lines and then opting to get some high carbon casted rotors - accompanied by new OEM pads. My thinking here is I will barely notice the decrease in braking performance. Then with my wheel setup being pretty aggressive I wanted to avoid running any spacer at all to avoid cooking bearings and any other additional wear items. That being said my wheel specs still had me rubbing on the front face of the calliper. I’ve found a 5mm slip spacer that I’m running thus resulting with me sitting at -30mm of offset but am now clearing the brakes. Finally!

Next up is working to find some extended studs and then I’ll have this thing on the road. I’ll update with photos once it’s all done. ARP seems to be the best option but ++ expensive so I’m looking into finding an OEM option. So far what I’ve found is either IS300 or Matrix studs seem to have the length I need. Wondering if anyone else has an ideas so I don’t need to drop a few hundreds on studs?

Here ya go! Got it all buttoned up the other day. Still need to do some trimming. But it works! Let's ride. Wheels are 16x8 -25mm and tires are 315/75/16 RTs.

I don't think it'll fit. Only SR5s can fit 16" wheels. I have jaos victron excel II pros 16x8 0 offset. 285/75/16

are you running any wheel spacers? i have some 16x8 et0 AR wheels i may try to run. i am on a spacer lift kit. do you think id be able to run 285/75's?

Yeah I have spidertrax on all 4 wheels. You should be able to clear that with a spacer lift going straight but once you turn and articulate, probably end up rubbing something. Nothing a little plastic cutting and moving liner forward can't fix. You might end up rubbing on body mount though.
 
Nice setup! I’m running scs 16x8 -12 with the larger calipers. I had to run spacers and shave a little bit of my caliper down. I prefer more side wall look.
 
I know this is an older post but I'm trying to figure out what needs to be done to run 285/75/16s on my 04 Limited. Currently lifted 2" in the front and rear and I'm not opposed to a front spacer for a net 1" extra gain in the front.

Currently running 265/75/16 and looking for a little more tire to fill out the wheel wells. Wheels are 16*8, 0 offset. Last gen Wildpeaks are on sale due to new incoming model @ $215/tire.

Am I looking at more trimming to the liner and mudflaps or is BMC going to be necessary? I won't run spacers so I'm limited to the zero offset I'm currently running.

You might be able to get away with no BMC, but for sure get rid of mud flaps and cut inner liner by the front bumper a bit. When I had 285/75/16 on oem wheels, the inner tire was rubbing on the upper arms. I had to get spacers to space my wheels out. So I think with the wheel specs that you have, you should clear the upper arms.

That's where my head was at. 0 offset is going to give me the extra room I need. I'm installing the Whiteline UCAs this weekend which might give me a little extra breathing room as well.
