So I ordered new Bosch 4-hole injectors from precisionautoinjectors.com but I realized they are the newer high impedance injectors. On my 88 3VZE they are definitely low impedance, checked it myself with a multimeter.
Question: Can I do the injector resistor box delete to run these new injectors? Will my ECU be ok?
From pirate4x4 I read this: "Toyota used the injector resistor box from 85 to 88 or 89 on the 22re. Its there because the low impedance injectors are only around 1-3 ohms and without the box it could fry a computer pretty fast. Sometime in 88 or 89 they quit using the resistor box and starter using different high impedance injectors around 11-13 ohms. You can use the resistor delete which is basically just splicing the three wires together but you also have to use high impedance injectors or it might fry the computer. Also don't use high impedance injectors with the box."
