The light in my dash for the parking brake is always on even when my parking brake is off. Any clues on how to fix it?

The light in my dash for the parking brake is always on even when my parking brake is off. Any clues on how to fix it?

Check brake fluid level, AND the brake fluid level float switch
Inspect the brake pedal switch which the brake pedal mechanism actuates. Gotta dive down under there.
