1995 V6 cranks but won't start, yet another no starting thread

Just lovely. I am very mechanically inclined but me and electricity just don't get along. Usually when I start messing with any kind of wiring, at home or with vehicles, eventually there is a bright flash and I end up on my back. I wish I'd paid more attention when I fudged my way through the electricity merit badge in Boy Scouts......

Well, it is still starting and running strong with no repeat. I really wish I knew what was causing it but I guess I'll have to wait until it happens again, if it ever does.

im kinda having the same issues with my 95 4runner. ive had basically the whole motor rebuilt and everytime my gas gauge gets to a quarter tank it wont start. ive heard it could be my filter or fuel pump. it would start if i left it alone for a few hours but now it just turns over and wont start...any ideas before i go playin with it?

no start, intermittent spark from coil

I have a 91 4runner v6 3.0, distributor cap started "chirping" then engine died.
distributor cap and rotor were old. replaced them. no luck in starting. Checked for spark at coil while cranking, spark is erratic, not steady.

Would any of these answers relate to the 4r starting up firing and then stalling. My truck specifically will start up and then you can hear it misfiring(?) but in the engine compartment?

Pull the codes first before diagnosing anything. See what it says before you start replacing parts.

I can't get spark.

I have the same problem with my 95 runner but I'm not getting spark after doing plugs, wires, cap, rotor and ignition coil I'm still not getting any Spark. Checked the fuses..

had this replaced 4 years ago after water was leaking into antenne hole therefore car would not start on cold or rainy mornings.
now im having the same issue but i hear the COR turn on so i know its not that.

I'm having the same issue. Replaced coil and still no spark. Can't really afford a new ignitor and don't want to buy a used one if I'm not sure how to test for it.

Seems like this is a common problem but the solution varies greatly. I'm stumped on my 92
