1996 limited. what do i need for a complete lift?

There are LOTS of threads on this. Read the sticky thread on lift info. Search for a thread called "Non rock crawling suspension lift" or something like that, it has a pretty specific list of parts for popular kits.
There are lots of options for lift kits (toytec, sonoran steel, OME are some of the most popular here). The "everything" depends on what can be salvaged from your vehicle. If you have rust damage, then you might need more parts than if you didn't.
Keep searching around here and you will find the info you need, then come back and ask specific questions. You asked a really general question, more specificity will make it easier to answer.

I've been looking at this stuff myself for my '96 4Runner recently, and although I keep going back and forth between different lifts there is a LOT of great information out there. I would definitely start with the sticky at the top called 3rd Gen 4Runner Lift Information and FAQ's. That has a TON of information, and then do searches for specific key words like "Tundra" or "OME" or something of that sort and there's tons upon tons of information out there! Check out my thread to see some more compiled information and questions I asked!

if i buy that, will it include everything i need? will i still need the diff drop and panhard bracket? im coming from straight axle jeeps... so much more simple than this IFS stuff :ybrick:

For that kit you don't need the panhard, but it will re-center the rear axle if it bothers you that it will be ~3/16-1/4" off to the pass. side. The diff drop is a good idea IMO, but lots of people don't use them. Most people's stock CVs will leak grease with a new lift regardless of whether or not they have a diff drop, but it does help reduce the angle on the CVs even if it's slight.
