Didnt make as much progress as I hoped today...I spent half the day battling rusted body mount bolts and the steering rag joints corroded arse nuts and bolts for the steering shaft spacer....FML!!!!. I have one side completely finished up and all the mount bolts off the other except for one which will be coming out first thing in the morning. I am removing the front bumpers plastic valence because I feel it looks a little better and provides much better approach angle when offroading. Will post pics of everything put back together.

crappy night shots but I am completely done. I spend half a day cutting the drivers side front body mount bolt and hammering out both of the steering rag joint mount bolts which were seized.....fml...there is literally no room in that area to pound those things out...I was half tempted to drop the steering rack..

Tomorrow all that is left is trimming and getting an alignment!

Here are some shots of it right after some pinch weld trimming/fender trimming and alignment. I dont know why the shop didnt adjust camber but it seems like the drivers side tire is slightly angled...I will have to check into it tomorrow(maybe tire pressures are all outta whack. They said everything was withing spec and it drives straight...Eh...

Firewall and wheel well needs more pounding out to clear when fully stuffed but other than that, its driveable for street till I get a bigger hammer and some paint. I am loving the stance so far and there want a severe loss in power from stock. Will re-gear after getting front and rear bumper made up later this month.

Tomorrow I am tearing into the car again with a full fluids change. Everything from front and rear diffs,transfer case, tranny flush/filter change, and engine oil/filter change. I am also pulling my rear locker for a tear apart and re-grease to keep it in better working order.

Got my 4xinnovations sliders welded on yesterday. 50bucks at a local shop. I got em home, used some rustoleum bare metal primer after a light sand. I added some 3M anti-slip strips on step areas at the door locations for a little added grip...we shall see if they stay on...
Then- I coated the sliders in a rustoleum bedliner coating from lowes. Coated the anti-slip strips really lightly. I figured if those anti slip strips do anything, they will help a little with the speed that the bedliner coating wears off.

Much thanks! I really have been wanting to dig into this build for about a year. I have read build thread after build thread over this past year. List after list I have made and I am so glad to have started. Next up on the list is front/rear bumper and gears. I can't make my mind up 100%on on whether to get some 4.88's or 5.29's...I definetly wanna run arb's air locker in the front and rear diffs.

Replaced both front CV's with some Napa cardone brand. Plan on rebuilding the OEM stock ones with some Porsche 930 boots. Took me about 2 hours total which isnt bad seeing that I haven't done it on this truck ever. Now I need to fix my e-locker...next little project
