1998 Remote Start on Manual Transmission?

Update:
The absolute and only way for you to start the vehicle in gear is if you do the correct sequence and then reach in through the window and put it in gear. or if someone is left in the car and puts it in gear. This is not as easy as you think especially when you arent using the clutch i had to wiggle it in there pretty hard. Also if the emergency break is disengaged then the vehicle will not start
So if my buddy Steve figured out where i live / work and broke into my 4Runner and put it in gear then yes i would have a problem. When i was in the car testing it, it didn't seem to stop turning over until it was running. I didnt let it turn over to many times as the parking break was on and i didnt want to stress anything
I guess if you are trying to make a decision on what system to buy I hope this information has helped.
If you think the Odds of an incident happening to you are to high with this system then give my buddy Steve a call.
If you think the odds are small enough to save the money then well buy this system.

Problem is, the if. Reality is, its possible to start it with it in gear with your vehicle.
Compustar will NOT, there are fail safe's built into it. Your system copied how compustar's old sequence that is not 100% fool proof.
Brent, I dont think i will ever be in the finger lakes area, so you dont have to worry about me.
