This is my first post, I have a 99 4runner that has been having an issue, so I took it to a diagnostic guy he tells me the error is C45 - however Toyota does not have this error?
The car will start up, run and every now and again the engine light will come on then go off after a little bit whilst you are driving.
PLUS
Sometimes when you start it, it runs really rough and coughs and splutters and then dies, you go to start it and it just turns over and won't fire.
Go back in 2 hours and it will start fine.
Twist is if you take number 1 spark plug lead off it will fire first go (even when the above is going on) you stop the car, plug the lead back in and she fires and runs like normal.
I have no idea what is going on that's why I took it to the diagnostic guy Any ideas?
