1999 v6 Build Thread (Starter)

I bought my 4 runner in March 2012 and haven't done much to it except driving it, i bought it with 119,000 miles on it which made it a good deal since many over in CA are way over 200 k, i got a good deal i can say off CL on our way home i found out that the 4 runner had issues with a small vibration going over 60. i didn't drive it home so i didn't get to feel it until the next morning when i went to get fuel.

2 weeks later

we found out that a rear seal was leaking badly and we didn't know how long ago we drove it 400 miles already including the previous owner, We tried to fix but, we failed once and we decided to change out the bearing, we got it done at "The Best Machine Shop" a couple miles down from where i live and we found out that the ABS was inserted incorrectly and need to be taken off and replaced shop charged us $100 dollars excluding the 75 from the ABS part and the seal/bearing so it ended up 350. The Shop was expensive but, they were specialized in their field. because the ABS seemed fine but the ABS would less than what it need to go in like a .1 of inch which made the seal leak because the axle wouldn't budge.

After that hit of Cash

I saved up some more since i went broke after the issue i had i got a new k&n air filter and my gas improved, i was getting 230 ish to a tank and now i get 275 all from most city driving and short highway driving. is 270 a good deal on my gas millage and what else can i do to improve next will be future mods what i want to do since iv'e got nothing and went tight on a buget.
