Yup, and the way those autos suck power anyway I think is why most people swap to a manual trans.

4.7s behind an auto has got to be nice in the rocks, though.

i understand the need for a 5 speed in these underpower trucks if you DD
i dont DD mine and even if i did i would still keep my Auto. auto is much easier to drive on the rocks. if i did have a 5 speed i would do dual case no questions

Loved my auto in the rocks but it was a slug climbing the canyons. Hopefully I'll have my own 4.7 case in shortly and I can have the best of both worlds.

if you havent regeared . i would do that 1st. made a difference for me going up steep canyon climbs. instead of downshifting two gears i only have to downshift one gear for the same climb
