1st gen IFS to Solid

I'm a 4th gen owner creepin over here on the classics. I've got a buddy with a late first gen IFS. He is looking into doing a SAC. He has already sourced an axle from a first gen and has a pocket full of cash for me to hook him up. My question is does anyone out there make a kit to swap an IFS over to a solid.something that includes tabs,links,shocks,steering components etc. I've searched and searched and can't find much so anything you guys got would be great.

You must have been searching and searching for the wrong thing.
For complete SAS kits or individual components check with Marlin Crawler, AllPro Offroad, or Trail Gear, just to name a few.

Sky off road is where I decided to buy from. They worked with me on exactly what I needed for my spring under sas. But I would agree with taking it to addicted offroad, that guy makes awesome stuff and you know it will be done right.
 
I have the sky hanger thats going to make its way on to my 92 pretty soon. Its not a "complete" kit through, but then again I didnt want a kit. Great looking parts and easy to order from!

Scotty is very cool. His 3rd gen is ridiculous. I met him up at yoda fest in Blackhawk. I didn't know they did SAC kits. Guess ill have to hit him up! Thanks for the input every one. I was searching for the wrong thing I guess there referred to as IFS Eliminators more then SACs

IFS Eliminator is TrailGear's kit, but there's others out there. Some people call them Straight Axle Conversions, more people call them Straight Axle Swaps. You might have better luck searching SAS than SAC.
 
Yup. Seems addicted are the guys for this. With gears, lockers, crawl box, front driveshaft and all the swap components with a 4 inch lift they quoted me around 3 grand. Pretty good deal it seems.

Installed? Or just parts?
If it's installed that's a sreamin' deal. Still a good deal on parts.
 
This number is just parts. I will be doing all the labor in trade for tattoos and beer! My buddy whos 1st gen it is owns spider rose tatto in glenwood springs and has made me a great deal on a full color sleeve in trade for my work!

I'm pretty sure labor on a sas is around 500-700 so getting a whole sleeve in return would be sweet, including the beer and good times in the shop.
 
Awesome, I've been wanting to get a sleeve done. I'm going to wait until i'm into my career first though. Gives me time to really think of what I want into it.
