I had problems with the maplight bulbs also, wiggle them side to side gently and keep trying. They'll come out.

Mpower, that's part of the reason I went with another vendor. I was concerned if I ordered bulbs from different places the color temperature might not match.

Thanks for your help!! Do you have to drop the panel or can you just remove the lenses for the map lights? I don't want to break anything.
 
I just took the lenses off. No need to remove the whole thing.

Then, as I said, wiggle side to side and they should come out. :wink2:

If there interest, once I get mine installed I will create a thread so folks have a comparison.

The bulbs I ordered will do:

20 lumens in the doors, running boards, license plate (120 degree beam)

20 lumens in the dome lights (30 degree beam)

11 lumens in the map lights (220 degree beam)

All at 4,500K. 14 LED's = $63.06


On another note, I came across some coupon codes you guys can use for V-LED's site. I cannot verify they are currently working, but saw a number of recent posts that stated they were working.

They are all caps and supposed to be good for 10 or 15% off your order!

Sheik - So where's your write up? V-LED still doesn't have the middle dome light in stock and I want to order my lights. Who did you order through?

Well I said I'd do a write up if there was interest, and there wasn't any so I didn't bother. :)

Anyway, I ordered mine through superbrightleds.com. Their website is kinda difficult to navigate at first, but they delivered my order in 4 days and I haven't had any issues with the bulbs.

I'm looking for the part numbers specifically. Most of the ones I need now from V-LED are out of stock now. Keep in mind I have the rear speaker system so my middle dome light may be different than yours.
 
Anybody find these bulbs at a local store? My local radioshack didn't have any, I can order online, but wanted to put them in tonight!
 
Has anybody tried putting the bulb that was originally suggested for the Cargo area in middle dome light? Is it not bright enough? They look to have the same base, so the only difference appears to be how bright they are. I haven't decided yet, but I was considering ordering 2 of the bulbs for the cargo area light and seeing how one worked in the middle.

V-LED has the rear cargo bulbs in stock but looks like they are still out of the middle bulb.

I have been checking back with V-LED's for about 2-3 months now and they are sold out and don't appear to be getting any more. I wanted either the 16-led or 9-led bulb. I ordered all of the door, map, and glove box LEDs so I wanted to get something that matched pretty closely.

I'm considering the Oznium dome light, but don't really want to drop $25 for each one.

I assume that no response means that nobody has found a comparable bulb to the V-LED 16-LED or 9-LED replacements?
