2.5 Rear springs?

I tried very hard not to start a new thread but I just can't make up my mind.

Does anyone know of a company that produces 2.5" rear springs? Aside form custom?

I recently pulled the trigger no a fox 2.5 front coil over and 2.0 rear shocks. I was hoping to go 2.5" all around but all I can find is 2" or 3" coils. I Don't want 3" because I think that maybe a bit much for everyday driving without a rear heavy load.

Again, my application is mostly daily driving with some off road, camping and off road camping. So not too much rock crawling and not trying to desert race, though it would be fun to blow through Mojave fast :)

Anyway, I already made a purchase of the 2" ICONs but I'm getting cold feed. My concern is how much will I lose with a loaded truck and a trailer hitch basket or an actual trailer. If it isn't much than I should be ok.

I guess my other question is, what is a better "load carrying" spring?

I'm going to guess you will get some reverse rake under load. The toytec superflex coils are actually pretty comfy unloaded. Might be worth a go.
 
Have you considered the fact that your frontend is about 1" lower than your rear, stock? Do you want your truck to be "level'ed"? If so, you would want your front lift to be more than your rear. If that's the case, rear 2" is probably the most appropriate height. IMHO. Food for thoughts.

Toytec makes a 2.5" rear spring, both in regular and heavy duty. I'm running them on my GX470 to match the height of my long travel up front.
 
Sounds like I am running the same Fox setup as you. I went with the regular SuperFlex RCC2.0 and actually got exactly 2.5" of lift in the rear. Even after a few months of camping, towing, and trail riding it has only settled maybe 1/16. I double checked the marking on the springs as well since I got them from wheelers. I have the front set at 3" and with the cargo area and cargo hitch basket being loading with camping gear, it ends up being perfectly level. Same when towing ~2500lbs.
 
The ToyTec SuperFlex HDs are stiff. Empty I'm around 3.5" of lift with them in the back. Unloaded they're too stiff for me but loaded full of gear and people they're a dream. I bought them instead of the regulars in anticipation of a rear bumper that I've yet to purchase.
 
I've bought the same and was looking for the same as you in a 2.5" rear. I thought I read somewhere that the icons sit a little higher than 2" and aren't too stiff unloaded, so I went with them. For now, I don't run with much weight in the back. I figured if I was wrong and they're only 2", then I'd just end up more levelled with less of a rake.
Still waiting on the Fox to come in, so they're not installed yet. We'll have to compare how they turn out.

might be obvious, but in case not: the "2.5 coilover" refers to the width of the shock body—not the ride height, or lift.

that said, i got 2.5" of rear lift from the "2-inch" ICON coils (P/N 5-2700). they ride great, not too harsh, haven't settled appreciably, and haven't sagged when loaded with weight. not ExPo weight, mind you, but a few hundred pounds anyway.

also, factory rake is 2" lower in front. only model with 1" rake should be TRD Pro due to its port-installed Bilstein front coilover.
 
I just installed the 2" icons. With front coilovers set at 3" of lift, the back is still 1" higher. I got right at 2.5" of lift from them unloaded. Not much settling time so far, so only time will tell. They also ride very nice.
 
I've been really happy with my OME 2889's. They say 3", but depending on the load and after settling I don't think it's quite that much but I don't obsessively measure them when I fill the tank and I have some decent armor on as well. I've been really happy with them and the Fox's in the rear.

This is very helpful, thanks guys!! I will stick with my 2" icons (52700) and hopefully it will ride at 2.5 before loading up the truck, i'll be happy with that.

Can I get a link of your ride after icon 2"? I tried looking at "find other posts" Thanks
