2 Strange Sounds

When I go above 20 mph up to highway speed I get what sounds like a flapping with squeaking intermittent from the front left side. I can only hear it with the windows up. I have 15k miles. I've done some light off roading, but nothing that would've damaged anything. I've checked the plastic inner fenders and no fasteners are missing. I remember the left side front bumper gap was 1/16" wider than normal one day so I pushed lightly on it just to feel and it clicked back up in and hasn't come down since. Maybe that did something? I've greased the driveshafts, and washed the underneath. The damn sound is still there...any ideas?

I've had that squeak, though without flapping. Check your fender trim piece. Mine looked securely attached, but apparently was loose due to a faulty clip. Dealer had to replace entire piece, paint to match, and then install paint protect film again. But my squeak is gone, and it only took them 2 weeks to find the problem and fix it. BTW would have been a $375 repair if it hadn't been under warranty!

How did you go about checking the trim piece? just pulling on it, or should i take off the inner fender plastic and look from behind?

The dealer found it. I should note that they also had to retorque several other fittings that were never properly torqued or had rattled loose. This included the trim piece over the windshield wipers and a body/frame mount. I'd just wiggle it a little and see if it gives at all.

Thanks. It's been into the dealer once, for 3 days but I think it'll have to go again, :frusty:
