I just installed 275/55r20 Continental Terrain Contact tires on my 2015 Limited (stock wheel). Tires look great, but no real impressions yet because the OEM tires were very worn and any comparison wouldn't be fair. They aren't any louder than the Yokos which was a concern.

As it has been a few years, curious how these have worked out for you as I am in the market for new tires for my 2010 Limited. Also, as there are a few versions of the Contacts do you know if these are the H/T, A/T or LS20?

I was interested to hear as well. The Conti's TC AT's received really good reviews on Tire Rack (but said snow was not that great), Revo's were the runner up there. They also were rated top or near the top by consumer reports.
I dont really trust the personal reviews on Tire Rack unless there are a lot of them and even then I tend to take them with a grain of salt.
Someone pointed me towards the Yoko GEOLANDAR A/T G015 which also have great reviews around the net including for snow.
I havent pulled the trigger yet but my be leaning towards the Yoko's based on the independent detailed reviews I've read around the webs, but could ultimately go either way. Or may even decide to take additional noise for the looks of a true AT.

Hello all! New to this forum - however been reading over everything for hours/days and it's been so helpful! I own a 2015 4Runner Limited!
I'm about to move up tire size from OEM 245/60/20 to Toyo AT2 275/55/20. I've looked over the fitment guide, and just want to verify my understanding as all this is new to me! I'll be mounting the new Toyo's on the stock 20" - so this means my backspace and offset will remain the same? Just the tire width is changing.
I read through the second half of the 50 pages
And I've seen some comments about rubbing with the above mentions size and some say no rubbing at all.
Anyone running Toyo AT2's in this size experiencing any rubbing on a stock 5th gen limited? Also - will the spare tire fit with this tire size? I measured and it seems like it will be snug - as the tire diameter is .5"?
Also - sorry if this information can be found elsewhere. My head is swimming after reading through so many posts for hours. Thanks guys!

I ended up getting the Nitto Terra Grapplers in 275/55/20 and LOVE them.
notice any rubbing?

Nice! Looks like you’ve been running them for a few months? Or longer? And no rubbing, regardless of being in reverse with steering wheel fully turned?
Also - do you have the same tire on your spare? And does it fit?

Another thread I saw earlier stated Toyo has/is releasing a new AT3 for the OEM size P245/60R/20.
Has anyone done 265/60/R20? Hopefully 265 is a little less wide so as to not push limits with bead on the smaller rim, but I'm wondering (suspecting) I might get a little rub going from the 55 to 60 but not all that worried about it. I can adjust driving or fender well if it bugs me too much.

Hello Ruster34. Looking at putting on 265/60/20's myself. I have just installed cornfed spacers 2/1.5 and want to go a bit bigger than the 275/55's. I agree with your logic on the narrower width as I'm putting them on stock limited rims. Any feed back on your question or experience with 265/60's? Thank you.

Im running Toyo AT2 but in stock size. They offer them in P245 width.
They are decently quiet. Does not hum at any speed. On center feel is lacking. Sidewall flex is noticeable when going up and down mountain pass switch backs.
Snow and ice performance is actually better than expected.
MPG: no idea. I drive my 4Runner pretty hard.
So far they are wearing 20 to 30pct slower than the OEM Yokohama.
Toyo now offers the AT3 as an FYI with newer compound and tread pattern.

For those who were asking other forum members, I ended up going with the Nitto A/T's 275/55/20 while repping the OEM rims. I love them. Silent (but compared to my bald 60K OEM wheels, they are loud.) I only notice rubbing when fully locked in reverse both directions. Rubbing was eliminated with the heat gun mod to the front bumper.
Question for the tire gurus: I'm heading to the outerbanks next week and am worried about lowering the tire pressure and what might happen with the tire beads on sand. Any thoughts (or educational points)? (The Nitto's are factory recommended 7.5" wide wheel and OEM wheels are 7.0")

Discount tire will commonly go an extra 0.5” in either direction (their website will reflect it too) so if any issues just go back to them

Omg How did you make the TRD Caps stay on?
I just ordered the caps based on your part number but i cant seem to make them stick on. Like they'll go in but i can easily pull them off T.T
