Just wanted to see if there were any more pictures/additions with the limited and 20in wheels. I have a MGM and will be doing the daystar soon with the tires...just want to make sure its the right move! :cowboy:
I love the 5th gen 4Runner Limited, for its utility, design, and functions/features, however, I came from an X5 sport, so I'm used to more of the sport side of SUV versus the U side, and the narrow rims/tires has really bothered me. Unfortunately, I really like(d) the look of the OE Limited wheels, and I WILL NOT put too big a tire on these skinny rims. I do not recommend anyone else doing so either -- you're just putting too much pressure on the tire bead under load. Might never be a problem, but it "could". I finally found a wheel that looks even better and still retains the spirit of the OE -- the Black Rhino Zambia. Unfortunately, it took my tire shop 6 months to get their hands on a set for the T4R, but I got them TODAY, and everything is PERFECT. I'm running the TOYO Proxes ST in 275/55-20. I spend 80-90% of my time on the road, and very little in severe off road; most off-roading is gravel, dirt/mud and a little snow every once in a while. Zero rubbing -- tested hard too.
The Zambia's are 9" wide, and the tire fits perfectly, with no "stress" on the sidewall or bead. Plus, the car drives like the X5 now -- much better steering feedback, sure footed, and NONE of that uncertainty I felt when making a "quick" lane change before (not that a truck is a spots car, but sometimes you have to).
These were not terribly expensive wheels either, so I don't feel like a made a bad investment, especially based on how fantastic the T4R feels (and looks) now.
Hope that helps someone...

Dude - you are my FN HERO!
This is exactly what I want , OEM look with tires that fit the rim..
2 questions 1. How much 2. Where from? Link?
20x9 rims and 275/55R20s will fit with only a slight provided you don't go with an aggressive tire. I went with the Michelin M/S2. you can see in the picture where it rubs and I plan on removing the splash shield that seems to be affected. It is a splash shield on top of a splash shield....doesn't seem that important ;-)
I did extensive research and found tires that fit perfectly AND look great on the 20x7 rims that come with the 4runner Limited. They are: "Continental CrossContact LX20 with EcoPlus Technology". These tires are made to fit rims 7" wide. Since I had these tires installed, I have noticed less road noise, a much smoother ride, and better highway gas mileage. In addition, they look much better and the width of the tire actually matches the width of the vehicle. The tires also have a 70,000 mile warranty whereas the Yokohama tires don't have any warranty at all. I have included a link to the Tire Rack website where I discovered the tires. Link: Continental*CrossContact LX20 with EcoPlus Technology
After riding with these tires for abouty 1000 miles now, my average gas mileage has increased, the ride is more comfortable and quiet, and they don't look like bicycle tires on it! I have no idea as to why Toyota decided to put the skinny 245's on this truck. Also, this Continental tire is about $150 less per tire than the Yokohama Geolander which is the factory equipment.

Those do look like a good alternative.I just realized I posted on the wrong forum.
Has anyone seen the Sequoia rims? 20" X 8".
