$200, what would you do?

Start a free savings account, stick it in there, and call it your 4Runner fund. Then set up an automated monthly transfer of whatever amount you can afford to let go from your main checking account, and go about your business. Pretty soon you'll have a nice chunk of change to spend on some fun mods. or an emergency fund for when something breaks...

You know what I would do if I had 200 dollars? I would invest half of it in low risk mutual funds and take the other half over to my friend Asadulah who works in securities...

Smartest idea in this thread. I do this and can buy some expensive stuff guilt free occasionally.

Or you can buy one tire.....

I believe Bank of America has a plan that automatically rounds up to the nearest dollar from debit card purchases and just adds to to a savings account of your choosing.
So for example, you buy something at Walmart for $1.30, BOA rounds it up to $2 and dumps the difference (70 cents) in savings.
That can add up petty quick.

Hell, I often tip when I don't need to just to make the number nice and whole.

I saw that a while back, my brother told me about an app that you can link to your bank account to. Forget which one but there's a list of them here:
Save Your Spare Change With These Apps | Bankrate.com

Pretty neat idea

Buy some large tongs, give them to your boss, and tell him to use it to take that stick out of his ass cus $200 for a bonus is the most worthless thing I've ever heard of...

Really? Dang. I'd take a $200 bonus any day! [emoji1360]

I vote plugs, new OEM wire set, new valve cover gaskets and PCV valve and grommet.
Only because I just realized one of my spark plug tunnel gaskets is leaking, and thats what I have in my Amazon cart ATM [emoji23]
LBJs would be a very good investment, as would a timing belt and water pump- depending on miles and replacement history.

Money is money. I take it any time someone wants to give it to me.

For me - I would hit the U-Pull-It.

oh crap, wrong forum.

LBJ's. Yeah. LBJ's.

Lol, when you say that out loud, it still sounds similar to what you said earlier, just the Spanish version. "El BJ's"

Alright, that's my contribution for this evening..... back to work.

Buy gold and silver. Don't put any savings in the bank, you Americans (well all Westerners actually, I shouldn't single out Americans) have been duped in the greatest fraud in history. You have been robbed blind right in front of your eyes. Ft Knox is gone, you have no gold left. I know you will think, "so what, who needs that barbarous relic". Well YOU will when the US dollar loses reserve currency status and you have nothing to peg the new currency to. Then you will watch your hard earned savings in BoA go to nothing through theft via inflation. BTW, the banks don't actually HAVE your money you deposit. They have long since spent it on their rich person version of hookers and blow, all you have is an IOU from the bank and sad to say, you are last on the list to get paid back when the banking system goes under.

You know what I would do if I had 200 dollars? Two chicks at the same time.

Just got a "bonus" at work to the tune of $200. What would you buy with 200 bucks?! I feel like I need to use it wisely! Lol

You said how would I spend a quick $200!!?? Simple...pay it on my mortgage or the new to me 14 Runner Payment. Now...how would I piss it away??? Depends on what was going on....right now....would go to my hunting/fishing licenses and permits.

On the runner...would help cover my current ongoing costs to update the suspension.

I may have been a bit forward with my comment.. I realize others are at different positions with their jobs and maybe a $200 bonus means a lot.

Didn't mean to down play the guys bonus.

Just my .02, either maintenance stuff or throw it in a savings.

Seriously??? I do not get it...the guy has a job where he got a measly $200 bonus...dont hate on him...praise him. If your job doesn't give bonuses (mine does not) STFU or change jobs. Crap I wish his job gave him a $20k bonus....life is not equal and it should not be. You want the $200 bonus???...do what he did to get it!

I still remember me gettning a position that paid about 15k more than the same position around me. The GD crying and whining was sickening....I literally called them all into a meeting. I said exact words...."Every one of you are *****ing, complaining, and saying how unfair it is I'm getting paid more than all of you. What single one of you actually negotiated your f'n contract instead of accepting what they offered? (Not one hand out of 5 was raised). I then said "If any of you had half a brain you would not complain but use me to get yourself a raise....and when you do...all of you owe me 10% of what you get". I have not seen a penny yet but everyone of those f'n wankers make a shit ton more now because of me!!

Don't know if you could tell pay/compensation is a hot button for me. LOL
