2000 3rd Gen Limited Retrofit Issue DRL Missing

I am at a loss here... I have attempted to read every thread on DRL and still don't have this figured out. I don't have the little cage box thing by the battery, it is just physically not there, and there is nothing under the dash as far as I can tell that controls DRL.

Sure that all sounds fine and dandy, but when I go to put my highbeams on in my FX-R retrofit, they won't TURN OFF. They only way that they go back to low beams is if I turn off the lights then turn them back on or if I flip the switch to turn on my driving lights which has a relay that is connected to my high beams... Basically the relay draws enough current I think to make the solenoid move back up...

Ideas, suggestions, comments, burn the damn thing? :mad2:

Im not exactly sure what you are asking about concerning your DRL issue.

Check your connections and the prongs used for the hi/lo switch wiring.

First off .... who makes your retrofit wiring harness and where did you buy it?

My retrofit is from TRS and the harness is pretty technical, has a circuit inside.

2000's have a connector behind the drivers side headlight that you disconnect to disable the DRL's. If you look right behind the headlight it should be resting on the body next to the battery. I'm not sure that is your problem though. You may have a sticking cut off plate or actuator in your FX-R's. I'd call TRS as I'm assuming you got it from them.

I do all of my stuff through TRS no ebay crap... It isn't my first retro and I am not bad with wiring. I know It is nothing with connections or general wiring, it has to do something with the truck its self farther back. I can hear a relay click at weird times and I have no high beam indicator on the dash.

It's both that "stick" and I know it isn't that because my or lights relay is wired to the highs and if i flip the switch for those when they won't shut off the shield will come up...

It's both and I have been in contact with them for a while and they had me try the CAN-BUS harness and that runs directly from the trucks harness, and had the same problem... they are sending me back my h4 harness now...

It literally is like the high beams are always getting power, even when the low beams are on..
