2000 Digital Climate Control Unit Lights

Hey All. I have a 2000 Limited with the digital climate control. One side of the illumination as burnt out. I have been searching the forum and seems like I can get new "neo-wedge lights" to replace the burnt out ones? I need to know specifically what bulbs to buy and do I need a color to maintain the green? And how is it done?

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I just did this yesterday as I also had a burned out bulb. I don't know is a neowedge will fit... I've heard they are toyota's proprietary but maybe that was just so I'd buy replacements!

Here are the Toyota part numbers:
81850-35020 LCD Display Bulb
81850-35030 Background bulb for the function buttons
Each bulb is roughly $6 a piece!!!
Also, you need two of each.

You can also use standard bulbs. I did an LED conversion on my 4Runner and used standard neo-wedge LED lights, and they fit with a little persuasion. Now I've got a TRUE green backlight to match the rest of my dash lights.

If you decide to go this route, make sure you measure the bulbs and get the correct type of bulb. There are 4 bulbs total, 2 large, and 2 small. I ordered from autolumination.com and spent under $20, including shipping.

Yup. Got it. Found a good write-up over at Yota Tech with pic. Not that they are needed, but still helpful. Ordered the bulbs Friday from the dealership and they came in Saturday morning. The replacement took about 20 mins and now everything is all green and pretty again. Thanks for the replies guys.

cameo87 - do you remember the part numbers you used? There are so many different types on autolumination.com. I guess you went this route because it was cheaper? Are these the same type of bulbs or are there advantages

Neo wedge bulb size "B" for the LCD display and neo wedge size "A" for the buttons. The green tint is created with a green bulb cover but it can be peeled off and reused if your careful. Be careful with LED bulbs because they create hot spots and have very vivid color output.
