2000 key fob?

Both of the key fobs that came with my runner broke (the loops that hold it on the keychain broke) and were promptly lost. New ones from the dealer run $240 a pop, so I want to find a cheaper one from somewhere else. I saw one on Amazon for a 2000 4runner and it was like $62, but one from a 2002 was like $48, and even that is a bit expensive.

My question is: is there a cheaper aftermarket key fob I can buy, preferably one that won't break like the two I had before? Or will I have to settle with the original one from Amazon?

From the posts I've read, eBay seems to be the best bet.

If you have the factory VIP then you need to make sure you don't: get the Sequoia remote by mistake as they look alike. This information applies to the 1999-2002 4Runner.

For the 4Runner you need FCC ID. HYQ1512Y

If, however, you have the dealer added alarm the remote for 1999 is different and the Sequoia didn't have a dealer installed option.
