2000 Sport 2wd questions

I just bought a 2000 Sport 2wd with 165k & had a few questions...
1. I did a drain & fill on the transmission & only got about 4 quarts out; does that sound about right? I used autoxxxx's house brand, is that ok?
2. The door locks don't always unlock when I take the keys out of the ignition, it seems like a random event.
3. The drivers door lock does not unlock with the fob, I have to use the key hole.
4. The rear differential bolts seem like the're welded on, what's the drain capacity.
5. The coolant is pink, can I get compatable non-pink coolant from autoxxx or do I have to use Toyotas coolant?
6. $6000, is that the going rate? 1 Owner with a stack of maintenance records.
7. I looked & could not find a way to replace the power steering fluid "easily".

I own an 02 Sport 2wd and have done a lot of the maintenance, so I can chime in:

Yes, 4 quarts is right for a drain and fill. Just do a drain and fill every oil change and by the third or fourth time you should be good. As for generic brand, that shouldn't be a problem as long as it was Dex II or higher.

Dunno on this one, don't think mine unlock ever when removing key from ignition


3. The drivers door lock does not unlock with the fob, I have to use the key hole.

Actuator probably just needs to be cleaned and re-greased, should be a how-to around here for removing the door panel, not difficult at all

I think I used all of three quarts of the gear oil in the rear diff. As noted a lot around here, undo the fill bolt first just in case you can't get it off after you've already taken of the drain bolt.

5. The coolant is pink, can I get compatable non-pink coolant from autoxxx or do I have to use Toyotas coolant?

Everyone here recommends to stick with Toyota coolant on this one. Also, research "pink milkshake" and it will probably convince you to get an external tranny cooler or new radiator at the same time. Both are easy to perform/replace, lot's of how-tos

That sounds like a good price for 2wd with 165k, maintenance records are a big plus
