2001 Sport keyless entry remote

Hello, I ordered a ebay fob for keyless entry a few months ago and it wouldn't program.

I called the dealer and they said I had a slightly different than normal package installed.

He said the listed part number for the fob on my car was "08191-00922".

This is different from the one I bought and it doesn't have the window sliding button either. After searching it says this remote does work with 00-02 RS3200 systems.

Can anyone clarify why my 3 button remote with the rear window button doesn't work, but this one supposedly will? Would like to use the one with the window.

Thanks was just reading that.

It appears the 00-02 have a different "programming" method.

98-99 "TSB – AX005–99"

and 00-02 "2000 VIP Manual *6".

Maybe I was using the earlier programming method the first time.

Does anybody that has a 00-02 have the 3 button fob? RS3200.

Okay I think I figured it out.

*7 The RS3200 system was only available on early production vehicles in the 2003 model year.

So since my RS3200 was dealer installed does this mean I can only use the 2 button FOB with the "2000 VIP Manual" programming guide?

Specifically I can only use Fig.5 in the PDF and not Fig.10?
