2002 Maintainence?

Toyota is big on recommending added maintenance items when you go in. Here are some other items my dealer recommended at 15,000 miles:
Additional maintenance items
for special operating conditions:
Automatic transmission fluid
Engine air filter
Inspect nuts and bolts on chassis and body
Replace front differential oil(4WD)

Be sure to check and see if they did any "extra" maintenance.
Chances are a 4Runner with 25K miles has not had the radiater fluid changed, new air filter, automatic transmission fluid changed, new spark plugs. That will be done at the 30,000 mile check up, be sure to bring your check book.

Actually, you could call the dealership and ask. Most of them publish their prices locally, and some have them on the web. Around here, I'm always getting service coupons from dealers.
It would also be helpful if you had the maintenance records for the truck -- and if the service was done at a local place, perhaps you can use this as an opportunity to cut a deal.

Actually, I don't think the 30,000 mile service isn't that bad a deal. On my Hondas you had to adjust the valves. I think the cost is around $250 for the basic service and $440 if you choose all the extras they recommend. I actually did some of the optional items they recommended, but not all of them. My bill was around $320.

Before I went to the dealer I went to their web site and clicked on their service special. It had 10% off on their 30,000 mile check up. So if you go in to the dealer, try checking out their site.
