Hahaha aww man this kinda killed my hopes for this right now
Ironman and anyone else, not trying to be a buzz kill, nor disrespect the owner. I shop for 4x4s all the time, often just for fun, especially when I am "home" in PA. I can never find a good deal on a used 4x4 there, people want so much more than you can buy trucks for in the south or out west (even here in LA!!), and 99% of the time if the 4x4 is more than 5 years old, it is going to be rotted. That means the body, the frame, and other parts wear out so much faster. I think my dad goes through an exhaust system every 2-3 years in Pittsburgh on his truck, while my 05 Jeep TJ in LA is still on its original exhaust. I had an 87 shortbed Chevy in LA that looked cleaner with no rust compared to my dads 04 Chevy in PA. I was bummed I had to sell my 98 4runner a few years ago due to money issues out here, but it was amazing condition with no rust, while the last Toyota Taco I bought my dad years ago, had to have the frame welded in places at least once every few years from rot. Just look at Tacos on Craigstlist in Pittsburgh, you will often see the frames replaced on 2006 and up Tacomas from rust already!! Like entire frames need to be replaced!
It would just be a heck of a lot of money for someone to ship any truck from PA without seeing it in person, or flying to check it out....truly if you want a good deal on a truck, head south, or look at Craigslist in CA (LA, OC, and San Diego), AZ, NM areas. Prices are cheaper (perhaps because more people have 4x4s and they last so much longer??), and they are in way better condition.
Again, no disrespect to the original owner. I am selling a Jeep XJ right now in Pittsburgh since my parents quit driving it. and I got 12 emails in less than 24 hours on it because I mentioned it was a southern vehicle and showed pictures that there is no rust. People in OH, PA, NY areas cannot find vehicles without major frame rot and rocker panels falling off if the car is 10 years old. Buyer beware...
