Good to have a post written here for 2003 4Runner roof rack cover replacement yesterday.
I have 2003 SR5 with missing roof rack rear cover on driver side.
I've searched a lot about how to have rear cover but found no solid answer so I decided to state how I can have get it replaced.
When I visit a local dealer, I was told that roof rack covers for 2003 model had discontinued by May 2003 and 2004 model may fit at $95.00 and I can return it if 2004 model part does not fit on 2003. Part# is 63494-35021. Roof rack covers for 2003 has to purchase with entire roof rack unit though which costs about $500.
I've sent local dealers an email around town, and one of dealers answered they didn't have a part but could make it a special order within 1-2 business day. I sent him my VIN to make sure it fits. He told to come and see before purchase. I made a stop to check the part and it fited just fine at $81.00 before tax.
The part# is the same; 63494-35021. You may order it online cheaper. I didn't try to order online because I was not confident. However, you can have it if you have the same issue.
