2003 Rear Lower Lights into Lighted with Brake Lights

Has anyone changed the look of their 4runner's rear lower lights on the 4G model 2003? I know since I took the lens out it was designed to take a socket and bulb but it has been filled in with ABS plastic from the factory. What models or where did they use this on a Toyota? I tried searching for this but no luck.

I drilled out the filler plate and inserted 3157 LED clusters and now use the lower lights for running/ brake lights. I tapped into the trailer harness for my supply
