2004 4runner HVAC

Hi. I have a 2004 4runner SR5 4WD. I almost exclusively use the 'auto' setting on the HVAC. It seems to be keeping the interior cabin cooler than normal and the fan seems to be blowing hard even though it says that the fan is on low.

The heat does work when I turn up the setting to higher than normal temp.

Is it a sensor problem? Heater problem? Something else common?

No, that's just part of the auto feature, it has temperature sensors, also make sure you don't have it on the defroster

Under the dash, just above the accelerator, there's a temp sensor and air tube. Make sure those are both connected. They can cause the HVAC to malfunction if not connected.
