2004 factory JBL headunit replacment - No audio to amp

I am trying to replace my factory JBL headunit on my 2004 4runner with a Pioneer FHX-720BT . Got it wired in with this JBL amp integration harness . Everything looks right (power, dimmer, etc) by there is no audio from the RCA's of the new headunit to the factory amp in the back cargo by the sub. No matter what settings I try on the Pioneer headunit which has two RCA preouts, I get nothing to the amp.

There were three existing factory harnesses connected to the factory headunit (big medium and small) If I put back in my factory headunit using only the one big harness, and it works fine sound wise (I loose steering wheel control).

Please help me, I have been googling this for days with no luck.

I assume you used 2 y adapters to connect all 4 RCAs to the stock amp.
The problem sounds like you might not have hooked up the remote turn on for the amp. It would be the blue (or blue/white) wire from the head unit. Don't know what wire in the harnesses it would connect to.

The new headunit has 4 RCA preouts (front and back, left and right. However, it sounds like there is a data signal that the factory head unit sends to the factory amp to turn it on. Connecting the blue wire doesn't work, needs some computerized signal on two wires labeled (data line).

So I ordered a Metra 70-8117 Factory Amplifier Bypass Harness hoping to just forget about the factory amp and connect to the 4main speakers, however the connectors are too big and don't fit. I have scoured the web, and can't find a single JBL/Toyota harness that matches the bypass that came in my car. I have a Toyota JBL 56827 , which has the standard Toyota JBL 20pin connector which goes to the amp, but the stering controls and bypass are these mini connectors I can't find anywhere or anything about.

So I'm ordering this TYTO-01 Amp Interface Harness and will try again tomorrow. This has become the most serious project I have taken on, a week and a half of having my 4runner in 10 pieces and 4 wrong harnesses... Headunits should take about 30min to replace...
