2004 front wheel bearing replacement

My front wheel bearing went out on my 2004 4Runner

I was quoted 600 dollars for replacement.

How hard is it to replace by yourself?

Not too Hard...

With various searches you will find two paths...you can buy a bolt on unit complete from ebay from here:

or

2003 Toyota 4Runner 2004 2009 4Runner Complete Front Wheel Hub Bearing Assembly | eBay


The difference in these products is the Bearing brand name and country of MFG.

the OTHER ROUTE...will disable the vehicle for a longer period of time, but may be cheaper with you figuring out which parts and finding a shop to press out the old and in the new bearing parts.


I went for the bolt on method. Easy. Need 35mm socket and cheater bar for the axle nut. The write ups are as far as your search bar.
