Was surfing around on Craigslist tonight and found this v8 4runner for sale in case anyone is in the market. Only a few pictures but looks to be in decent shape.

Willowbrook IL isn't too far away from where I live.

Ad says 164k miles.

Looks pretty good, makes me nervous that it is such a good deal. Can deals like this actually be found these days where there isn't something wrong? I am in the market for something just like this but always wade into these types of postings with cautious optimism.

I came across one of these recently (a deal too good to be true).

2005 SR5, 205 K, $2500. When I saw it the ad had been posted 40 min ago.

Crazy low price, but nothing in the ad looked off to me. My girl and I had been leaning towards a 3rd gen after she vetoed the 4th gen for being too wide (we live in the city and would be sharing the car) so it took some convincing, but eventually she caved. By the time I called (about 2 hrs after posting) the car had been sold.

I'm not saying for sure that this was legit, but I've bought enough stuff on CL to know that sometimes people just have no friggin clue what they have.

Hi, not sure exactly what you are looking for but i am in the Denver area and have an 06 v8 Sport with appx 205K mi on it for sale with all service performed at Toyota dealerships. I am told that it sounds like it threw a rod and needs a new engine.

Yeah, it kind of scared me off anyways. I contacted him about the "exhaust issue" and was not the most pleasant person to talk to. He kept everything short and vague. The search goes on for my first 4runner.
