2005 4R sport, multi-info display and AC problems?

Hey T4R,

A couple days ago my 2005 sport edition 4R had some heating problems including rough idle and stalled out.
The next day after checking to see if the problem was the IAC I found out that the coolant hadn't been changed and was empty.
After filling the coolant and running the engine, I found that the exhaust was giving off small white puffs of smoke with a strong fuel smell.

Back to looking for the IAC i guess it's mounted to the throttle body entirely, so that was a wash. There was some buildup on the throttle body so I cleaned that up with some carb cleaner.

After putting everything together the car seems to run fine, RPMs do dip to around 500 when breaking but it doesn't seem too problematic. But now, I've found the multi-info display and AC is broken.

The AC does not turn on at all and no lights are blinking or on at all on the AC controls, and the multi display backlight is on but the only the clock works, not the mileage, temp, or ac controls.

I've been looking and I can't find any information on the problem, has anyone else encountered this?

Well, first you need to yank the HVAC/info center control panel and put a volt meter on the harness to verify whether or not you are getting a current. If no current, I would check fuse box, followed by a/c relay. If current is present, then you need to get a replacement HVAC/info center control panel. You can pick up a used one on eBay for about $150.00. Keep us updated on your progress and resolution, and GOOD LUCK!!!!

How'd you solve your issue.Mine just developed what sounds like the same problem. The center display only shows the time, the turn signals do not work (though the hazards work), also the P-D-R-etc does not light up with what gear you're in.
