2006/2007 headlight

Hi folks, sorry I've been off-line coz of work
Just want to find out from our Pro's if it's possible for me to install a 2006/2007 headlight to my 2004 4Runner? Do I need to do any mods? Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

It would take a lot of modding. DRL's, grill, and headlight shape are all different. I think somebody may have addressed this topic a while ago but I can't find it.

Thanks for the reply. That's a lot of mod to do. I'm thinking of just changing my bulbs to HID bulbs (9006) from xenondepot and maybe I'll be satisfied. What do you guys think?

That should do the trick! It is much easier than changing the entire casing.

You can change them to projector lights from the 2006+. You will need the lower trim under the headlight to complete the mod. There will be a small triangular gap due to the different grille shapes between the 2003-05 and 2006+. You also need the new wiring harness, because the 2006+ uses H11 bulbs for low beams.

Check out this thread. It's a 2005 with the 2006+ headlight swap. Page two shows the gap created by the different grille shape on the 2006+.

Thank you so much for the info guys. It help me a lot. Another question though, I hope you guys are not getting tired of my topic yet. If I ever decide retrofit to 06-07 headlight, how much is the lower trim of the headlight would cost me and what is the name for this part of the headlight assembly? Thanks.
