Can anyone comment on my 2006 SR5 4X4 4Runner with 77K? I am in a pinch and need it fixed quickly. Dealer can't get to until tomorrow... best case I will have the car back in 3 days.
Here is what happened:
This weekend I first noticed a very hard "F" gear engage followed by all the lights on my dash coming on VSC Trac off, CEL etc... then within about 2 miles my tranny started to slip. I went home and checked my gas cap and disconnected the battery for 15 minutes.
When I started the car, the lights were all off. However, when I took it out, withing a 1/4 mile I felt the tranny slip again so I brought it home.
Is this the P2714 problem with pressure control solenoit/valve?
Any comments or suggestions would be helpful.
