We just welded it onto that front cross member support. Very sturdy. If I ever decide to take it off I'll just cut the welds with an angle grinder or something. I don't know why I'd ever want to do that anyway though.

Here's the mount, it's called a comet rs 250. If you want any up close pics let me know.

Ok, so for the life of me I can not find this CB antenna mount you are talking about.......and yes I googled it Any chance you could point me in the right direction to order one of these. Its a clean look. I have mine mounted to the roof rack but I do not like its location. A side mount like this would be a lot better.
