Noooooooooooo!! My Matrix won't stop beeping until you put your damn seatbelt on......drive me @#$%@$#ing INSANE!!

The loaner Camry that we have does that as well. It actually keeps beeping faster and faster until both the driver and passenger put their seatbelt on. That could really get annoying! Unfortuantely, more and more vehicles are getting this type of feature.

audible safety warnings for:

1) foot brake - always forget to disengage this
2) seat belts

Foot brake exchange to Hand brake. It's much easier to use, more comfortable and easy to control when you have it on.

I herd today at the dealer from the service manager that they will be offending the 6 speed manual for the SR5 and SE on the o6 4R.

I would be willing to be it is only on the V-6 models....

a manual with the V-8 would be fun!

Installation of the fix for the drivetrain vibration on the V8 which we know is available in Australia and on the Lexus over here!

4Runner outside, Lexus inside
:) :) :)

i always said the same exact thing!!!!! my dad bought the gx470 and im not to thrilled with the outside appearance, but the inside is like WOW. it is so comfortable and the sound system is out of this world!!

nothing more than my 4runner is, because then I'd get jealous and I'd want the 06..... so I hope they stink in some way.. and I go... yep... should have bought an 05 like me...:D

Actually - what I would really like to see is a diesel version introduced - I believe there is one in some other countries and with gas prices the way they are going a diesel would be a good compromise on performance off and on-road and fuel economy. I think a lot of people have indicated that a hybrid does not make much sense for a true off-road capable SUV like the 4Runner so a diesel would perhaps be the logical alternative for now.

Lockers?

I am really surprised that nobody mentioned Lockers. The Xterra, Tacoma, Titan, Frontier are just a few that have factory lockers. The greatest improvement to traction are lockers.

I know this won't be a change in 2006, but I would really like to see the trims changed in the future. In my opinion, the SR5 should stay as the base model as is, there should be an off-roading model (4Runner Extreme could be the name!) with standard lift kit, lockers and bigger tires, a real Sport Edition with standard dual exhaust, SC, and other sporty stuff, and the Limited with all of the luxury goodies like leather, nav, and all that fancy stuff!

That sounds right on. There are definitely those who want the SPORT to mean on-road performance. I would add better tires and same XREAS set-up and delete 4WD. The others want SPORT to mean off-road performance. I would add front/rear skids and a more robust nav/gps.

Plus those you already mentioned...

Nissan vehicles do not have lockers. They have a system like the 4Runner. Active brake traction control. An option for selectable lockers for use in low range 4wheel would be nice.

LT5,

Check out the Nissan website or to your local dealer. The Xterra offers them in their OR (Off road) package and the Frontier/Titan in their NISMO package. Factory lockers and options available to the customer.

The FJ is rummored to have the Locker option available when it comes out.

Cheers,

Tail pipe bent to the side and at a 45 degree angle, like the older generations.
Oil pressure, water temp., and an Amp meter. (with numbers please!!)
Dual climate controls for the lower models. Yes more than one person rides with me.
More side support on the front seats
Longer delay time on the intermittent wiper function
