Haha I feel you, I actually have a bumper on order from Demello - should be ready to pickup in a month. The Shrockworks is nice as well, but there's no way I'd wait five times longer and still pay more too.

IIRC CBI and Perkins both offer front bumpers too.

Yep. The Shrockworks has the style I'm looking for, the Demello is super nice as well, I just don't like how you can see all the guts (washer fluid bottle, etc) with the Demello. Plus my roomate has the Demello on his Tacoma.

Perkins Performance bumper is ok, a little plain. CBI is too bulky.

I wish I could just get someone in Denver to make me a bumper on the cheap.

Yep, I believe he's up in Aspen but I was not super found on the lines of the bumper.

Dude your rig is beautiful! You have just about the same setup I am looking to run. 275/65/18 BFG TA KO, Daystar 2.5/1.5 and Spidertrax 1.25"

Did you encounter any rubbing on the body? I know a front mudflap removal, fender liner moving, and some bumper trimming is necessary though. Id like to do everything at once then get the truck aligned to get the max life out of the tires.

When you first did the lift + tires, were you running the stock XREAS suspension?

You'll get some rubbing with the 275/65/18 and Daystar kit with xreas. Nothing that can't be solved with some trimming. Less trimming is required when running this tire size and the Radflo 2.0 kit since I'm getting about 1/2 inch more lift.

Close call. I think overall the Duratracs are a sweet tire, and better in the snow. Upsizing from 265/65/18 to 275/65/18 I saw about 1-2 mpg loss. In retrospect, the 265/65/18 was a better tire size for city and highway driving. The 275 is a good compromise though for offroading and highway. I'm thinking 285 will be too large given further loss in mpg given this is a daily driver.

Ultimatley, I'd like to fit 275/70/18 duratracs on here, but the list of potential issues is long and expensive to fix. 275/65 again seems like a good compromise.

I just wanted to share this past weekends adventure. We drove from Colorado to Moab to drive the White Rim Trail. Started down Schafter, and drove clockwise to Mineral Basin. This was one of the most beautiful and inspiring trips so far. 103.6 miles offroad, 927 total trip miles.

The truck drove great. Aired down to 25 psi for a softer ride. Only averaged about 10.5 mpg's on the dirt with a mix of alltime 4x4 and 4wd lo. The ascent at mile 44.6 called Hogback was pretty intense - totally doable but still a nice challenge. To my surprise the Radflo front's seemed to shine on this trip - pretty cushy and controlled. As much as I'd like more lift and bigger tires, I think my current set up was perfect for this style of overlanding trip and highway traveling. Perhaps a set of storage drawers would be a nice upgrade in storing all the gear.

I highly recommend this trip. 2.5 days was a good amount of time to drive casually and get out of the truck to explore and take photos.

Great pictures! Looks like a fun trip. Definitely on my list... Curious why you decided to buy an expensive roof rack as part of your build and then not use it for anything on a trip like this though....

Great question - mostly for looks I suppose!

We didn't have a ton of gear, so instead of risk it falling off, I put the gear inside. If I had 4 people in my truck, I would use my rack more.

a sweet cosmetic roof weight, got it. haha... fair enough on more people. I love the way it looks don't get me wrong, but I personally would have a real hard time justifying that much money on a mostly cosmetic mod...
