2006 Toyota 4 Runner left turn signal problem

Hello guys,

Here is the problem that I am having and wondering if anyone else experienced anything like this too.

When I engage the left turn signal the light on the dash is flashing twice as fast as it should be.The rear left signal is not blinking. However,when the hazards are on ,both lights on the dash are flashing normal but the rear light still not working.
Here is what i tried so far:

Changing the rear bulb no results....
Switching bulbs and sockets with the right side no results....

Someone told me it could be the turn flasher relay,but wanted to get some more feedback before spending money.

Hmmmm, 52 people have looked at this and no replies.
Your flasher is good, the one side is flashing faster because the bulb is not lit. Since you already replaced the bulb and socket, you probably have a wiring problem elsewhere. First check the ground pin of the socket to a clean spot on the frame using an ohm meter.
It should be 1 ohm or less. If it's real high or open you have a bad ground connection (a common problem). You have to trace thru the wiring to see where the actual physical connection to the frame is.

If ground is good look at the rest of the wiring for that bulb/socket.

Another thought, do you have wiring for trailer lights?
The wiring and converter box for that are a real common source of lighting problems.
