2007 4runner AC power problems HELP!

Hey new to 4runner's aswell as the forum. Just picked her up last week.

I am having problems getting my AC power to work. I have tried both the cig lighter plug and the optional plug in the arm rest. I have checked the fuse under the dash on the drivers side and have tried pressing the button next to the diff lock. None of these solved my problem. What else can I look at without having to bring it in to the dealership.

The only other thing I can think of is that the guy I bought the truck from had an advent multimedia system installed just a few months ago. Do you think maybe some wires were crossed?

The cig plug is DC, not AC - possible he messed something up. You sure the fuse was good? Did you try a different fuse?

What were you trying to plug in? It's possible that the AC had insufficient power to power the device.

Did you also remember to turn the AC on? (sorry, don't mean to come off rude, I do this ALL the time.

If you have a muliti Meter turn the ac on and check your voltage. This will let you know wether or not your getting the proper voltage there...

Another quick though. If you are turning the ac on with the button does the light come on (the little orange light on yhe button) when the power outlet should be hot? If this is not happening recheck fuses and wiring.

Yep i replaced the fuse just to be safe. Just plugged in a radar detector and iphone car charger. Orange light is on when ac button is pushed. Non of these fixed the problem. The cig plug in the trunk works fine though.

Hold on...are we trying to troubleshoot the The 12v DC cig lighter or the 120AC (basically wall plug) outlet that's in the arm rest or both of them? Car chargers and radar detectors don't run off 120vac. Plug something into the ac plug to see if it work. Something small like a iPhone wall charger

Both dont work. And the wall charger is what i used to test the ac power inside the arm rest. The orange light does come on when the ac botton is pushed. But seems like there is no power going to the ac plug.

To make it more clear: both dc power near the drivers side seat and the ac inside the centre arm rest do not work.
