2007 4runner Power Running Boards

I want to replace the current running boards on my T4R because of something the idiotic previous owner did. I want to get Power running boards where they slide out from the underside of the car when the door is open. I have been looking for around a week now with no avail. All I can find is kits that will fit the same year Tacoma. now i had some questions:

Mainly If i were to get a Taco. kit would it install the same as a t4r?

how durable are power running boards?

Whats a decent price range for them? the kits I've seen are around $1100

It would most likely be trial and error. I'm not sure if the taco uses the same floor pan and pinch lip. Another thing to consider is if the wiring would interface the same as the taco. I'm not saying it can't be done just some things to think about. As for the power boards, they may be getting better but they are not flawless. Some boards seem to last forever without a glitch while others seem to continually burn motors or get stuck. I've seen enough to know they are not for me.
