2008 SR5 4x4 V6 with Leather interior??

I just purchased a 2008 silver SR5 V6 4x4 with a leather interior and sunroof. Was this an option for this vehicle? I read the 2008 Toyota specs for the SR5 and also the options list and I don't see an option for leather on the 2008 SR5. This is a 1 owner lease vehicle with 26,000 miles but I'm not sure how it came about to have a leather interior since it was not offered. Anyone have any ideas? Also, I paid $24,000 for it with 26,568 miles. Is that a good price? Thanks

But I think there was an option...and even standard on the limited.

Back in 96 wife bought a new Accord. She wanted leather, but we didn't need or want the V6 which was the only way we could get the leather option. The dealer offered us another option...leather from an aftermarket company. We chose that option...The Leather was done PERFECTLY. In fact the leather installed by this company was of better quality then Honda. And the color (Green) was a perfect match. They did an EXCELLENT job.

So if yours is OEM or aftermarket and it looks good...does it really matter?

Pretty sure it was an option. As for price, not great but decent. I bought my 08 in 09 with 20k for 30. Limited V8 w/nav. These things do hold their value quite well.

Price seems fair, I think you did fine, check your sunroof for rust though. I think anything is possible when it comes to trim packages

However, it could have been purchased that way originally. Some dealers and distributors in certain regions of the country offered some nice aftermarket leather packages and had them installed prior to the new sale.

Nice price. We purchased a SR5 in September 2011 in Ca. It had 32k for $24k it was certified and we threw on Jerry's extended warranty for $1.2k. Nice find with the leather I wish we could have found it too.

buddy of mine owns a shop here and he does aftermarket leather for the local dealerships. Its much cheaper and better quality hides can be sourced if you want to spend a little more.

There are also custom options like perforated leather and contrast color stitching available. If I cant find a 4R with leather, im going to have it done aftermarket.

Mine is an 08 SR5 4x4 and it originally came with cloth. The previous owner had the seats and door panels swapped at 20k miles. I now have it at 60k. Looks factory.

Thanks for the responses. I'm starting to get a bit suspicious about this though. The reason is because on the dealer's sticker, there was no mention of leather seats, etc. I don't know if this is because they just did not put it on since it was used or what. Also, I have heard about leatherette as well and am wondering if this is real leather or leatherette. Finally, I'm a bit suspicious about the front seats because normally on the factory leather seats, there is a little tag on the side that says SRS AIRBAG. This tag is not on either of these seats. So I don't know if these are stock toyota seats or what the deal is. I'm concerned about the side airbags. How do I know these seats have the side airbags if the SRS tag is not on them? Is there any way to know for sure? Something just doesn't seem right. That is why I'm trying to do some research on this. Thanks,

Hey Bahnstoermer

Do you know if your leather seats have the little tag on the side that says SRS Airbag? I don't have this on my seats. The factory leather seats that I've seen have this tag so I'm wondering if yours do.
