I've always wondered why whenever anybody spouts silly unproven conspiracy theories they always preface it by saying they don't believe in conspiracy theories:crazy: :lol:
Because i typically laugh at them. You guys can laugh at me... but why would they only attack toyota, when dodge, ford and GM also had big recalls at the time, but NO press on it? It's just way too fishy for me.

Because the supposed issue with Toyota, vehicles running away, was more dramatic and thus newsworthy.
I'm sorry but I just don't believe that at all. For your conspiracy theory to be valid, it would require people in the news media to take direction from the government AND to keep their mouth shut about it. There would simply be way too many people involved to keep quiet. Face it, any reporter would love to break a story that .gov was behind this -- it would earn them a Pulitzer, they'd get a book deal, and then go on the lecture circuit.

While you are entitled to your opinions, your anger, rage, and vague and baseless threat ("Don't you dare defend this perversion of justice") are misdirected and inappropriate. I am not defending the merits of the action in any way. I am simply sharing information that I thought some others may find useful. I understand you are bothered by the existence of this class action, but that has nothing to do with me and your comments are entirely unwarranted.
As I stated, 2010 4runner owners are members of the class. If you do not wish to be a part of that class, you may exclude yourself. If you wish to express your anger at the judge or parties involved, you may do so. However, there are strict time limits, so you should be sure to comply with those time limits. Otherwise, failing to take any action will be deemed to be a consent to being part of the class. I do suggest adding some substantive support to your position because a collateral attack based on your opposition to class actions will not carry much weight to any judge.
As for the dishonest and immoral bottom-feeder lawyers that are destroying our country: society faces less of a threat from greedy lawyers than from intolerant individuals who are aggressive and abusive towards anyone who they perceive to have a different opinion or belief.

That's not the point. You were intolerant of me for informing others that this class action exists. That is inappropriate behavior in a forum that is intended to be a friendly location for the exchange of information.
I agree with you that there are many examples of lawyers who degrade our justice system to line their own pockets. I've never said otherwise. Lawyers can be particularly bad, but there are plenty of people in every possession who do the same or worse -- doctors, insurance agents, stock brokers, mechanics, and car dealers...
I have also not offered any opinion on the merits of this case or whether there should be any settlement at all. Your opinion is as valid as anyone else's.
I only started this thread to inform others that there is a class action, that 2010 4runners are included, and owners you have certain options to voice their opinion within certain deadlines. All of that is absolute fact. I did not make it fact nor do I have any control over it... which again goes to show you that your anger and aggression towards me are misdirected and inappropriate.
I accept M1911's opinion. I even said he should be sure to express his opinion within the deadline so that it can be heard by the court. It does not matter to me in any way what he chooses to do.
I am only defending myself from what I feel are unnecessary personal attacks. He is certainly entitled to his opinion on the class action, but that does not entitle him to berate me.
