2010 4Runner SR5 TSB 0166-10

Hello folks,
I have a 2010 4Runner purchased new with about 75K miles. It exhibits the transmission shifting issues with speeds below 50MPH that I believe would be addressed with TSB 0166-10 (mentioned in many places on this forum). The truck is long-since out of it's warranty period. However, my understanding is that this TSB came out during the time frame in which the truck was under warranty so it should have been applied at no charge.

Just curious as to whether or not anyone here has had any luck with having this TSB applied outside the warranty period. Thanks much.

TSB's don't work like that, they are not recalls. Once you are outside of the (handily listed on every Toyota TSB) applicable factory warranty, you're on your own*.

*If you had complained of the symptoms and the dealer failed to diagnose the issue, while under warranty, you would probably have luck getting Toyota to good will the repair
