Actually, the 5 seater model does not have a completely flat load floor w/ the 2nd row down. There is a slight "ramp" where the seatback pivots. The 5 passenger w/ sliding cargo tray does have a totally flat load floor. The 7 passenger also has a flat load floor w/ both rows down but the plane of the floor sits ~5" higher than the cargo area load floor of the 5 pass non-cargo tray model. Clear as mud?
Kinda wish I'd have looked harder for a 3rd row SR5 w/ premium package now. You get fore and aft sliding 2nd row seats and I can certainly think of some uses for the 3rd row when me, my wife, my parents, my brothers, and my future sister in law are all at the beach this summer. Oh well.
thanks, on the picture zidaro posted with the ladder, it looks like the 2nd row folded seat are little higher than the rest.
4-5" higher overhaul doesn't bother me, I'd rather have the extra seating space, I can always but my thule box on the roof if I need anymore storage for occasional trips.
Unfortunately I can't find any dealer or owners around the bay area (San Francisco) to check it out. The dealer wanted to show me the picture from the toyota website... what a joke...
