I ordered the Rav4 side mirrors with the built in secondary "bubble" mirror to help see in blind spots. I saw a Youtube video of this mod on a face lifted 4runner and got excited to have a oem look to fix this.
Turns out prefacelift doesnt plug and play. For starters, the 3 nipples the mirror aligns up with are reversed (think upside down y pattern) on mine the y pattern for the right mirror matches the left, and the left matches the right side. Yes, I ordered the right sides. Toyota for the eff of it seems to have switched configs for whatever reason.
My thought is to grind off the nipples and just force them onto the four corner clips that secure the mirror. Anyone experienced this or performed this mod on a preface lifted 4runner (10-13)?
