2010 Lifted handling issues...

Buddy of mine has a 2010 4Runner and has the Toytec coilover lift, about 3ins, and is getting an odd handling issue when taking sharp turns. Its almost like the stability control kicks and wants to really fight it through the turn. He went through and relearned the stability system, which helped a bit, but he's still getting some issues. He does NOT have KDSS and was just wondering if anyone else has had this happen and if so what was the fix for it.

Any idea what his alignment specs are?

Its perfect, he has the SPC upper control arms, so no issues there.

'Its perfect' doesn't really mean anything.

Meaning its all within specs and no ill caster,camber or toe issues.

Does the abs kick in on one wheel?

When you say re-learned... do you mean the zero point calibration procedure?

R u actually sliding? Mine was a bit more sensitive when I had terra grapplers on after a lift. Would kick in at a certain corner. After I changed my tires to an e rated it was back to normal. Maybe with the stiffer suspension and my light terra grapler tires had something to do with it.

FWIW some people have had to preform the zero point calibration multiple times before it corrected the issue. It can be a finicky process.

We just talked about this at today's meet and greet. My 2012 did this too. Before I learned about ZPC.

It is definitely in need of a Zero Point Calibration.

yeah hes done the ZPC but he will try it a few more time.
