whats up fellas??? so i went to get an oil change and the dealer told me that my right front CV boot had a tear and that eventually i needed to get it fixed...now 2 weeks later i went to a different dealer and they are telling me i need an axle replacement....for real??? 970 bucks??? what are your thoughts on just replacing the cv boot and having them regrease and clean out the cv joint vs. having to replace the axle?? it is 200 dollars vs 970... i hear no "clicking" or strange sounds from the front end at all....not a happy camper at all...thanks for all of your help!

Get a second opinion. I've had a dealer tell me I needed to replace two cat convertors on my previous Sienna ($2k). I got a 2nd opinion and was told I only needed one but the tranny was leaking($3k). I got a 3rd opinion and was told I only needed one cat convertor and the tranny just needed some sealent ($750).
